Notes
- ↑ RWV (1) 0368 lists him transferring to the V.R.C., 0382 lists him mustered out on February 28, 1865 from the 2nd Wisconsin Infantry - Independent Battalion / Company B, and 0525 lists him wounded in action at the Battle of the Wilderness before being mustered out of the 6th Wisconsin Infantry / Company H. There is still some confusion as to the correct sequence of events, but for now he has been left off the roster for the Independent Battalion and the 6th Infantry.
