Organized at Madison, Wis., March and April, 1865. Moved to St. Louis, Mo., thence from Benton Barracks (skirmishes near Booneville, Mo., May 3, 1865, Detachment) to Fort Leavenworth, Kan., and to Fort Rice, D.T. Duty there until May, 1866. Mustered out April 19 to June 12, 1863.
Regiment lost during service 1 Enlisted man killed and 1 Officer and 43 Enlisted men by disease. Total 45.
