Notes
- ↑ Major Owlsey was the subject of some communication between the Federal and Confederate authorities, the full record of which is incomplete. He was apparently captured while recruiting his unit in Kentucky, under orders from Major General Joseph Wheeler, and was tried as a spy. There is no further record of him, but there is a Federal report that one company of the battalion under "Captain Estes" was negotiating to surrender on April 26, 1865.
