Organized July 24, 1865, by consolidation of the 48th, 83rd and 114th Ohio Infantry. Duty at Galveston and Houston, Texas, until May, 1866. Mustered out May 9, 1866.
Regiment lost during service 3 Officers and 54 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 3 Officers and 120 Enlisted men by disease. Total 180.
