Organized at Madison, Wis., and mustered in June 14, 1864. Moved to Memphis, Tenn., June 14-19. Attached to Post and Defenses of Memphis, District of West Tennessee. Garrison, railroad guard and picket duty at and about Memphis, Tenn., until September. Repulse of Forest's attack on Memphis August 21. Mustered out September 16, 1864.
Regiment lost during service 1 Officer and 18 Enlisted men by disease. Total 19.
