SERVICE.--"Tallahatchie March" November 26-December 20, 1862. Duty at Lagrange, Tenn., Corinth, Miss., and at Memphis, Tenn., until March, 1863. Moved to Helena, Ark., March 13, thence to Young's Point, La. At Ducksport, La., until May 3. Movement to join army in rear of Vicksburg, Miss., via Richmond and Grand Gulf, May 3-14. Mississippi Springs May 13. Jackson May 14.

Expedition to Mechanicsburg May 26-June 4. Advance on Jackson, Miss., July 4-10. Siege of Jackson July 10-17. Camp at Big Black River until September 5 and at Oak Ridge until October 14. Expedition to Canton October 14-20. Bogue, Chitto Creek, October 17. Moved to Memphis, Tenn., November 7, and provost duty there until May 10, 1864. Expedition from Memphis to Wyatt's, Miss., February 6-18, 1864. Coldwater Ferry February 8. Near Senatobia February 8-9. Wyatt's February 13. Sturgis' Expedition to Ripley, Miss., April 30-May 9. Battle of Nashville December 15-16. Pursuit of Hood to the Tennessee River December 17-28. Moved to Eastport, Miss., and duty there until February 9, 1865. Moved to Vicksburg, Miss., thence to New Orleans, La., and to Dauphin Island, Ala., February 9-March 3. Campaign against Mobile and its defenses March 17-April 12. Siege of Spanish Fort and Fort Blakely March 26-April 8. Assault and capture of Fort Blakely April 9. Capture of Mobile April 12. March to Montgomery April 13-25, and duty there until May 10. At Selma and Gainesville until August. Mustered out at Gainesville, Ala., August 10, 1865.
