Organized July 3, 1863, for thirty days' United States service. Moved to Baltimore, Md., and duty in the fences of that city until August. Attached to 8th Army Corps, Middle Department. Mustered out August 4, 1863.
Again mustered in for 100 days' United States service July 12, 1864. Duty at and near Washington, D. C., Great Falls, Md., and at Winchester, Va., until October. Skirmish near Muddy Branch, Md., September 29. Mustered out October 29, 1864.
