Organized from 2nd Louisiana Battery - Light Artillery (African Descent) (U). Designated Battery "B" March 11, 1864, and Battery "D" April 26, 1864. Attached to Post of Goodrich Landing, Dist. of Vicksburg, Miss., to December, 1864. Reserve Artillery, District of Vicksburg, Dept. of Mississippi, to December, 1865.
SERVICE.--Post and garrison duty at Goodrich Landing until December, 1864, and at Vicksburg, Miss., and in the Dept. of Mississippi until December, 1865. Mustered out December 28, 1865.
