Regimental History and Service Record
Organized at Camp Chase. Ohio, and mustered in September 13, 1864. Moved to Martinsburg, W. Va., May 14; thence to Washington, D.C., May 19. Duty at Fort Lyons until June 3. Attached to 2nd Brigade, De-Russy's Division, 22nd Army Corps. Embarked at Alexandria. Va., for White House, Va., June 7. Duty guarding supply trains through the Wilderness near Cold Harbor June 9-14. Moved to Point of Rocks, Va., and duty there until August 19. Ordered home and mustered out September 2, 1864.
Regiment lost during service 1 Officer and 42 Enlisted men by disease. Total 43.
Lost 2 by disease.
