Regimental History and Service Record

  • Organized at Camp Chase, Ohio, and mustered in May 11, 1864.
  • Left State for Cumberland, Md., May 11.
  • Assigned to duty as railroad guard on Baltimore Railroad at North Mountain, Opequan Station and Martinsburg until July 3.
  • Operations about Harper's Ferry July 4-7.
  • Guard duty at Maryland Heights until September.
  • September 1, 1864 - Mustered out of federal service
