- ↑ RWV (1) 0383 lists him as missing in action on May 5, 1864 and transferring to the 2nd Wisconsin Infantry - Independent Battalion / Company B on June 10, 1864. Perhaps his name was left on a roll of transferred while he was still presumed missing before he was presumed dead.
