Jump to navigationJump to searchThe Middle Department was a Union Military Department constituted on March 22, 1862 to consist of the states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, the eastern shores of Maryland and Virginia, and the counties of Cecil, Hartford, Baltimore, and Anne Arundel in Maryland.
