Post-War Career
- Promoted to Lieutenant Colonel of the 36th United States Infantry on July 28, 1866
- Promoted to Colonel on March 2, 1867 for gallant and meritorious service in the Battle of Hatcher's Run on February 6, 1865
- Transferred to the 13th United States Infantry on March 15, 1869
- Died on January 31, 1891
