- The Battle of Malvern Hill, also known as the Battle of Poindexter's/Crew's Farm, was fought on July 1, 1862 in Henrico County, Virginia. It was the final engagement the Seven Days Battles
of the the Peninsula Campaign
. A series of errors in communication and execution of orders by Confederates allows Union troops to inflict heavy casualties on Robert E. Lee's advancing army, ending his series of counterattacks.
