Engagement at Garnett's and Golding's Farms, Virginia - The Battle of Garnett's and Golding's Farms took place from June 27-June 28, 1862, in Henrico County, Virginia, as part of the Seven Days Battles of the the Peninsula Campaign. While the Engagement at Gaines's Mill, Virginia rages north of the Chickahominy River, the forces of Confederate General John B. Magruder conduct a reconnaissance in force that develops into a minor attack. They engage first on June 27 at Garnett's Farm, and then on June 28 at Golding's Farm. Both attacks are easily repulsed and have little consequential effect in the Seven Days Battles.
