- October 16, 1863 - Mustered into Confederate Service for the term of "Residence in Richmond"
- September 2, 1864 - Per Adjutant and Inspector General's Office / Special Order #208:
- Consolidated with the 2nd Virginia (Local Defense) Infantry Battalion
- Re-designated the 2nd Virginia (Local Defense) Infantry
