SERVICE.--Duty at Helena, Ark., until February 24, 1863. Yazoo Pass Expedition by Moon Lake, Yazoo Pass and Coldwater and Tallahatchie Rivers, and operations against Fort Pemberton and Greenwood February 24-April 5. Fort Pemberton April 4. Post duty at Helena until August 10. Repulse of Holmes' attack on Helena July 4.
(A detachment on expedition to Napoleonville May 23-26, and engaged near Island No. 65 May 25.)

Regiment lost during service 1 Officer and 64 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 6 Officers and 232 Enlisted men by disease. Total 303.
