Moved to Benton Barracks, Mo., thence to Pittsburg Landing, Tenn., March 27-April 5. SERVICE.--

Advance on and siege of Corinth, Miss., April 29-May 30. Duty at Corinth until July 18. Moved to Bolivar, Tenn., July 18, and duty there until August 16, then moved to Corinth, Miss. Battle of Corinth, Miss., October 3-4. Pursuit to Ripley October 5-12. Garrison and provost duty at Grand Junction and LaGrange November 19, 1862, to June 5, 1863. Ordered to Vicksburg, Miss., June 5.

Operations on Memphis & Charleston Railroad in Alabama October 20-29. Chattanooga-Ringgold Campaign November 23-27. March to relief of Knoxville November 28-December 8. At Scottsboro, Ala., until February, 1864. Expedition toward Rome, Ga., January 25-February 5, 1864. Veterans on furlough until April. Action at Guntersville, Ala., March 2 (Non-Veterans).
