- Summer 1862 - Company C re-gained independent status as the (Bath) Virginia Artillery Battery
- April 30, 1863 - (Albemarle) Virginia Artillery Battery assigned as (II) Company A prior to this date
- November 4, 1863 - Company D became the 13th North Carolina Light Artillery Battalion / Battery A
- January 11, 1865 - Battalion dissolved per Adjutant and Inspector General's Office / Special Order #8
- (II) Company A reverted to the (Albemarle) Virginia Artillery Battery
- Company B became the (Richmond) Virginia ("Martin") Artillery Battery
