- Early 1863 - Organized by consolidation of portions of the following units not captured at Arkansas Post on January 11, 1863:
- March-May 1864 - The Red River Campaign
- April 30, 1864 - Jenkins' Ferry
- March-mid 1864 - Field Consolidation with the 30th Arkansas Infantry
- November 29, 1864 - Consolidated with (Gee's/Johnson's) 15th Arkansas Infantry and the 20th Arkansas Infantry and re-designated as the 3rd (Trans-Mississippi) Arkansas Infantry (Consolidated)[1]
