- Early 1863 - Uncaptured portion consolidated at Arkansas Post as Company A with (Dawson's) 19th Arkansas Infantry and the 24th Arkansas Infantry and re-designated as (Dawson's/Hardy's) Arkansas Infantry (Consolidated)
- Late 1863 - Balance of battalion paroled and declared exchanged
- November 1863 - This portion merged into the 8th Arkansas Infantry and (Dawson's) 19th Arkansas Infantry
