- April 6-7, 1862 - Shiloh
- April-June 1862 - Corinth Campaign
- May 9, 1862 - Farmington
- July 17, 1862 - Field consolidation broken up
- August 1862 - Battalion reorganized at New Iberia
- September 20, 1862 - A third company joined the battalion
- October 10, 1862 - Consolidated with the 10th Louisiana Infantry Battalion and re-designated as the 33rd Louisiana Infantry
- November 21, 1862 - Regiment broken up and battalions reorganized
- April 13-14, 1863 - Fort Bisland
- April 14, 1863 - Irish Bend
- September 29, 1863 - Stirling's Plantation
- June 1864 - Companies D/E joined the battalion at Alexandria
- Company D was a Heavy Artillery battery and continued to act as such independently
- August 1864 - Company F assigned to battalion at Vermilionville
- September 1864-October 1864 - Field consolidation with the 11th Louisiana Infantry Battalion and (Crescent) Louisiana Militia Infantry
- November 3, 1863 - Permanent consolidation with the 11th Louisiana Infantry Battalion and (Crescent) Louisiana Infantry and re-designated as the (Crescent) Louisiana (Consolidated) Infantry
