Attached to Newton's Brigade, Franklin's Division, Army Potomac, to March, 1862, 3rd Brigade, 1st Division, 1st Army Corps, Army Potomac, to April, 1862. 3rd Brigade, 1st Division, Dept. of the Rappahannock, to May, 1862. 3rd Brigade, 1st Division, 6th Army Corps, Army Potomac, to May, 1863. 2nd Brigade, 1st Division, 6th Army Corps, Army Potomac, and Army Shenandoah, to June, 1865.
SERVICE.--Camp at Kendall Green, Defenses of Washington, D.C., until October 29, 1861, and at Fairfax Seminary, Va., until March, 1862. Advance on Manassas, Va., March 10-15. McDowell's advance on Falmouth, Va., April 4-17.
