Expedition to Virginia Central Railroad August 5-8. Action at Thornburg's Mill or Massaponax Church August 5-6.

Movement to Falmouth, Va., October 30-November 19. Battle of Fredericksburg, Va., December 12-15. "Mud March" January 20-24, 1863. At Falmouth until February 19. Moved to Newport News February 19, thence to Covington, Ky., March 19-29, and to Lexington, Ky. Moved to Camp Nelson, Ky., May 8, and to Cincinnati, Ohio, July 12. To Camp Nelson August 15. Burnside's Campaign in East Tennessee August 16-October 17. March over Cumberland Mountains to Loudon, Tenn., August 16-September 4. March to Blue Springs October 7-10. Action at Blue Springs October 10. March to Knoxville, Tenn., October 13-17, thence to Loudon October 20-22, and to Lenoir Station October 28. Knoxville Campaign November 4-December 23.
